Karthick – A middle class son, who is seeking for a job, is roaming with his local friends. Then, he fell in love by his first sight with Kajal.

Kajal – A sweet good looking upper middle class girl who born to spend her father’s money. She fell in love by Karthick’s play boy activities.

Plot:-
-There is a mysterious murder happened in the city.
-Karthick loves Kajal
-With his poor friendly nature, he loses his first job
-His dad met with an accident. This taught our hero about the pain of running a family
-When his dad helps the police to investigate the murder case, he is murdered by the same group.
-Rest Climax

First half is a mixture of love, songs, family, friends and few thrillers. Kajal is good and nice. Karthick’s conversation, with Kajal, receives claps from the audience.

Second half is revenge, thrillers and murders. No Kajal. No love. No timing comedies. No song (Except in his dad funeral).

Suseendharan succeeded again in his project but failed to attract C grade audience.

Beware of High violence!!!

With 3.5, I’m expecting moderate hit of 50 days (Since Endhiran is coming on 24th).

Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya

This is the best love subject ever made.

Plot

Jessie, a software developer in Polaris, is a daughter of Malayalee Christian couple. Karthick, an Engineering graduate, is looking for a place as a film maker and a son of Tamil Hindu couple. Karthick’s family is a tenant of Jessie’s family. From his first sight, Karthick loves Jessie and follows her at every place.

• Apologies for the same at Kerala
• Kissed her in the train
• Fought her for Friendship and Love
• Attended her marriage at Kerala but she stopped it.
• She proposed her love that night
• Roaming Chennai
• Got assistant director chance with K.S. Ravi Kumar.
• Fought each other with no cause.
• After 2 years, realised his love and planned to make a film with his own love story.
• Met Jessie in U.S. during his film shoot.

Excellent Scenes:

• Intro scene of Jessie in sari.
• Proposing his love.
• Beating Jessie’s brother in boxing style.
• Caught by Jessie’s brother in her marriage
• Missing her & her calls in Goa
• Climax (I won’t reveal)

Songs are excellent and positioned at right scenes. “Anbil Avan” is at the climax.

Though Goutham showed chemistry between hero and heroine in his previous action projects, he did a wonderful job in VTV as love subject director.

Silambarasan has to follow the same acting in his future ventures.

No words about Trisha’s beauty. Hats off and must watch.

My rating is 4.5. It lost 0.5 because of the slow in the second half.

Asal

ASAL…. ASAL “Thalai”yin ASAL mokkai…. Really, we were running out of theatres. I didn’t say this to hurt any one. But, everyone stood up before the film’s getting over.

Bottomline:
Rescuing his youngest brother from a Mumbai Don and killing him latter. The involment of his 2nd youngest brother in killing their father made HERO to kill him as well.

Dialogues:
There were only 10 dialogues for AJITH. In the film, “THALAI” word came more than 30 times. Some of the dialogues are copied from the hindi movie “RACE”. In the opening scene, Sameera Reddy was discussing about the rescue operation of Indian High Commision in France with French officials. Those conversations were in TAMIL. Yuhi Sethu dialogues were excelent. I should advise Ajith to keep away from this department.

Songs/Dance:
Some Ajith fans were spotting that there was no intro songs like any other movies. But there is an intro songs by Sameera about Ajith. Only that song is quite good. Others were utter waste. “Tontadaing…Tontadaing….”. It’s a part of lyrics in a song. Check out the dance steps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43Tg2cgKKzY . Ok steps were bad. We know that already but costumes were wery worse.

Music:
Bharatwaj has copied from Jab We Met song, James Bond theme music, and other old movies. He gave a fast beat in a climax stunt. But the stunt was not effective enough for that.

Stunts:
How can an owner (AJITH) of a famous weapon factory is fighting with empty hand? How can a maafia group fighting with empty hand? The film is in France not in any township near to Madurai. The crew has forgotten about this.

Heroines:
Bhavana and Sameera were beautiful throughout the movie. But no catching roles for them.

Hero:
Mr. Ajith Kumar thought the physical apperance will make the film hit. But there are lot of things in acting. Watch Kamal’s movie then you’ll get know about that.

Overall:
Apart from Yugi sethu’s comedy, the movie is itself comedy. Dance is comedy. Action is comedy. Love is comedy. Please take serious while investing 90 crores in a movie including Ajith’s salary [$1.25 million (6 crores) with 30% of the profit]. After success of various movies, Sivaji production will face finacial problem next to Nic Arts.

The filming is done in Paris, France. But, there is no need to go there for this film. Atleast, they should have gone to an African/ South east Asian country to reduce the cost.
My rating is 1.5.

DON’T WASTE THE MONEY. YOU WILL WATCH IT IN TV SOON. SARAN, who gave famous hit in KADHAL MANNAN and AMARKALAM, didn’t help for this movie.

AJITH:
You are acting only 1 movie in a year. So, think. Let’s see about your 50th Movie (with Gautham Mennon) @ your 40th Age. All the best !!! My first advise is to reduce your weight/size. Believe in your projects AASAI, Amarkalam, Attakasam, Villan, Aegan, Varalaru, etc.,.

Renigunta

I thought it was a Telugu movie, when heard at the first time. But it’s about the story of a gang loosing their life over there. Every unknown actor in this movie is a star of this movie. Hero is Jonny, son of S. S. Chakaravarthi (Nic Arts)

Hero, an ordinary below average school boy, witnessing his parents were killing by a local rowdy. As revenge, he tried to kill but failed. He has been remanded in jail for 15 days. There, he has been tortured by constables and later helped by a gang, who involved in several murder cases. Their friendship grew up and planned to escape to reach Mumbai. They succeeded too. On the way to Mumbai, they halted at Renigunda. Love blossoms between our hero and our heroine, a local dumb girl. Later, in an attempt, his friends were killed one after another.

I won’t reveal the climax. Watch and Enjoy.

Really a good movie can be watched with your family. Big satisfaction for me after Unnai Pol Oruvan.

Vettaikaran

Vettaikaran – a hunter hunting the wrong doers.

It was too much crowded today in the theatre… Banner, garland, Milk abhishaekam etc…. It is organised by both ajith and vijay fans… They were saying “we are same outside India“.

The film starts (after 2 mins) with the intro song “Naa Adicha….” with his son Sanjay….. Tamil industry-ku adutha kutti vijay… . But second half mudiyala….

The story is a familiar one to everyone as in previous vijay movies… The film is a load of heroism…and it is a full fledged commercial flick…

Hero being a Town boy, after passing +2 in his 4th attempts, dreaming as a cop and do good to his society. He joins a college @ Chennai. The first half is whole lot of fun with Vijay, Suryan and Srinath…. quite enjoyable… Vijay forgot to button his shirt inside the college (even in class room)… There is a scene, about opening the windows, is copied from Beautiful Mind.

The second half starting is not bad…. but songs are introduced in unexpected timings… The transformation of Vijay from an ambitious student to a hunter is done in a song… I can remember Thirupachi at this juncture…. but not good enough…. Jumping from a water fall is copied from Apocalypto

The film is quite watchable except the last 30 mins… I don’t know what did the director try????

In short, THE FILM IS NOT UP TO THE MARK OF AATHI… COME ON VIJAY…. DO SOME DIFFERENT ROLES….

Good night… DON’T RUSH… YOU WILL GET THE TICKET…
